Clean Slate has received central government funding to provide laptops to people across Bath & North East Somerset who are digitally excluded.
We have teamed up with Wiltshire Digital Drive (WDD), a non-profit organisation which refurbishes and recycles donated laptops to gift back to the community. The initiative will not only grant low-income households access to the benefits of online tools and resources. It will also extend the life cycle of hardware that would ultimately end up in landfill. Anyone who receives a laptop will be offered our Money Health-Check for one-to-one support on how to use their device to manage their finances. Around 50 laptops will be distributed this week, with more to follow. Clean Slate is working with other organisations in the region to set up a referrals process. |
